Absorb is a fully functional LMS for our employees, but truly shines when it comes to our needed support for our client training.
Here, Absorb allows us to customize the messaging and training distributed to various segments of our client base. Our client-facing training takes the form of videos, PDF's, quizzes, and SCORM or TinCan files, all of which Absorb handles with ease and provides accurate tracking for. We offer a variety of free and paid training, with custom pricing for some of our larger clients. Absorb's eCommerce features are robust and allow us to meet all of these needs with minimal manual manipulation.
- Up-time. (We have never experienced an outage that impacted us or our clients.)

- Zoom integration can sometimes be a bit wonky (and auto-course attendance does not seem to work consistently, but our application with clients is unique)

Absorb LMS is a clean, intuitive, yet POWERFUL LMS.
- Usability - Both the User and Admin Experience is so simple and intuitive. The admin tools are clearly defined and laid out, yet the functionality makes it still powerful.
- Integration - We used the Scheduled Data Imports and Exports to connect with our HRIS tool. After the initial configuration, it has worked reliably and gives me all the custom data I need to make assignments and reporting a breeze.
- Design - I know it's covered a little bit in the Usability above, but the site just looks fantastic. There are a lot of options to customize and fit your branding requirements and all of the thumbnails/posters/billboards/etc give a very visual and appealing look to the LMS. Much better than I've seen in other products.
- Reporting - The out of the box reporting is a little cumbersome when trying to view more than one course at a time.
- Completed courses disappear from catalog - I know there is a setting, but it's also connected to the My Courses display so its either all or nothing. Would love to see that option split up
- Training History does not show inactive courses - To keep an accurate training history, courses cannot be deactivated or else the records disappear to the user.

Absorb has been an excellent LMS software.
- Admin reports are easy to use and provide a lot of detail
- Integrates with our HRIS software for hands-off, automated user management
- Allows us to segment our staff to deploy trainings specific to our users.
- There are rollouts of new features that seem to not be vetted enough by end users. This could be resolved by having more test groups review these new features first before sending it to all customers.
- Some reports need improvement, where you can download reports for multiple courses for multiple people.
- Absorb does not have the ability to assign courses based off hire date, so once a user is in added to the system (in our case, automatically), they are immediately assigned to content. Users are added sometimes a month in advanced thus training can be overdue on their first official date of hire.
- Courses can not be scheduled to assign which causes us work the day of assignment.
Successful first LMS for our Company

- The manager experience needs further development, including how access the manager experience from the user experience
- There needs to be an easier search feature to find a course without having to use the filter option.
- There seems to be a slight delay when completing a course before it shows as completed in the transcript.

Pre Absorb we had no LMS, which meant all L&D functionality was manual - reporting, marking attendance, scheduling sessions, targeted employee training etc. We also had nowhere to house all of the internal e-learnings that we had available. Absorb has helped us to fix this by centralizing all learning, providing in-depth reporting through Analyze, and offering e-learnings via uploaded SCORM files.
- Our CSM has been fantastic. Very approachable and takes on all questions/concerns we have.
- Analyze has allowed us to take our reporting to another level.
- Robust support site where client feedback/ideas can be posted. This is reviewed by the product team to determine whether this can be implemented. The feedback is always taken on board and I have seen a number of suggested ideas move forward to the implementation phase.
- Great knowledge base for admins with articles/resources to provide step by step work throughs of the different features available.
- At the moment you are unable to schedule recurring sessions that are different durations and/or cadence to each other. For e.g. if you have 3 ILC sessions and the time between session 1 and 2 is 1 week but 2 and 3 is 2 weeks, then this can't be recurring. Meaning individual ILC sessions need to be set up and users having to enroll in 3 sessions instead of 1.
- Auto enrolment for ILC sessions would be great. Would allow us to automatically new employees in to the required onboarding training without us having to do a manual file upload via FTP
- Custom messaging options. In addition to the messages that can already be sent out, it would be great if custom messaging could be sent out to address a certain subject that is not covered in the existing messaging.
- The option to send out resources at certain intervals after a training has taken place. We send out learning boosters for our programmes at 2 day, 2 week, 2 month intervals. This is a manual task as there is no way to automate this via Absorb.
Analyze Makes It All Worth It
- Analyze is a complete gamechanger. Has transformed our analytics and saved tons of time.
- Auto-assignment of curriculums.
- Custom curriculum/course pages
- ILT set up; ability to have recurring sessions that are different lengths
- Auto-enrollment at various post-intervals; ie 60-days post completion receive an elearning follow up
- Only being able to enroll in one ILT session. Sometimes we have things people need to repeat and need to make new courses every time.
Client success manager drives the absorb success
Issues we had in the past was assigning manditory education to those in the same division and job title correctly. Before some were being missed. Tracking expirey dates of cpr cards and renewing them. We are also cutting down on in person new hire orientation by delivering it through Absorb electronically as a video.

Absorb is a great platform of training, where you can house our trainings and development. But it's not always automated where it speaks to different systems.
- Updates and enhancements

- Data sorting and reporting - though limited
- Reporting needs to be enhanced to allow for pulling data on multiple users and courses at once
- There needs to be a curriculum component completion report showing the progress for enrolled users by each item within the curriculum
- There needs to be a way to create a one-time enrollment in a course/curriculum that has a specific due date associated with that one enrollment.
- There should be options for enrolling users in a course or curriculum from the course/curriculum level. Currently, when attempting to enroll users, you have to select them individually. It would easier to do this by group, dept., division, etc. directly from this screen as opposed to going through users, filtering the users, then bulk enrolling.
- Provides a user friendly way to deliver training content.
- Provides an administrator interface that is easy to navigate.
- Provides an easy method for enrolling users to trainings in bulk.
- The default reporting and data export options from the administrator interface do not always allow you to report across all the desired data points. We have recently added Analyze and we think this might open up our options considerably.
- There is not an audit trail available for custom fields. This would be a nice feature to have so we can see who made changes to data within those.
- The ability to export an audit trail would be nice.
